My Story is a Reminder
of God's Grace
Within these pages, you will walk with me through moments of pain, healing, struggle, and triumph. You will meet the women who shaped me, face the weight of the dysfunction I endured, and witness how, against all odds, faith became my anchor.
My hope is that my story encourages you to trust in God's purpose for your life, even when the path is unclear. May you find comfort in knowing that you are never alone and that He never leaves our side, even in our darkest valleys.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. May His glory shine through these words and light your way.

A proud Washingtonian, devoted woman of faith, loving widow, and matriarch of a beautiful legacy, mother to four amazing children, grandmother to eight, great-grandmother to three, and proud dog mom to her fur baby, Tootsie Rose.
After 15 years as a nurse assistant at Washington Hospital Center, La Shon joined the D.C. She led the Continuing Quality Improvement (CQI) team, championing excellence in patient care for D.C. residents, visitors, and first responders.
Her final assignment before retiring after 27 years of distinguished service was with the District Street Call Program, connecting high-need individuals to vital health and social services, resulting in powerful transformations and a marked reduction in non-emergency transports.
La Shon's spiritual journey began at Saint Cyprian Catholic Church. Today, she is an active member of Woodstream Church, serving faithfully in multiple missionary roles. She is also a proud Lifetime Soror of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
